Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, Qatar’s Newly Unveiled Olympic Museum Melds Ancient and Modern Sport

"The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum is a state-of-the-art facility that opened on March 31, adjacent to the historic Khalifa International Stadium. Designed by Spanish architect Joan Sibina, the museum spans 204,000 square feet and is one of the largest sports museums globally. It features seven sections covering the history of sport, interactive displays like virtual archery, a gallery of Olympic torches, and a Hall of Athletes showcasing 90 sports trailblazers. Highlights include artifacts such as a Formula 1 race car, a soccer ball from the 1888 FA Cup Final, and memorabilia from various Olympic Games. The museum also includes an Activation Zone with 18 interactive stations measuring physical literacy, offering a unique and engaging experience for visitors."
