"Come for the food but stay for the six-lane bowling alley at long-running supper club Sister Bay Bowl in Door County, a peninsula on Lake Michigan. First operated as a hotel and adjoining dancehall in the 1950s, Sister Bay Bowl became a supper club when Earl and Rita Willems bought it in 1964. A small bowling alley where guests can sip old fashioneds between strikes replaced the dancehall a half century ago. The couples’ descendants now run the establishment, and customers are served by cooks and waitresses who have worked there for 30 or more years."
