"What's the backstory on this place?Chebeague Island Inn is quaint, coastal, and accessed only by ferry. Although it's locally owned, the property is part of the Hay Creek Hotel Group. Tell us all about the accommodations. Any tips on what to book?Rooms are cozy and comfortable. There's no TV, alarm, or phone, so you'll definitely feel like you're on island time. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi?Free. Drinking and dining—what are we looking at?The kitchen turns out excellent American cuisine and it's actually a popular brunch spot for locals. And the service? As smooth and efficient as you'd hope. The hotel can arrange curated experiences, including Bike & Brew, Epicurean Delight, and Beach Getaway. What about the neighborhood? Does the hotel fit in, make itself part of the scene? The island has one general store, one road, and one golf course. Still, in summer, the population swells from 400 to 4,000. Any other hotel features worth noting? The staff can organize a picnic for you at nearby Hamilton Beach, just a short walk away or curated experiences, like a Bike & Brew, or a food-centric Epicurean Delight. Complimentary L.L. Bean bicycles make for easy, two-wheeled exploration. Bottom line: Worth it? Why?Come to unplug on island time—without sacrificing comfy amenities." - Joe Ricchio
