"The name isn’t an empty affectation—this restaurant actually happens to be one of the South’s best jazz clubs . Accordingly, tables are arranged in rows, so that diners can better keep up with the music, and portraits of the greats line the walls; otherwise, there's little to distract from the show. Diners are mostly music fans, though there are a few foodies sprinkled in—the menu rightfully represents New Orleans , the birthplace of jazz, with a spicy gumbo and a Bourbon Street shrimp (popcorn-style, and served with alligator sausage).
