"These tombs—an outstanding example of traditional Ganda architecture, crafted from organic materials like wood, thatch, reed, and wattle—are the burial grounds of four Buganda kings and serve as an essential spiritual and cultural site for the Baganda people. The main building, known as the Muzibu Azaala Mpanga, was destroyed by fire in 2010 but has since been meticulously restored to preserve the methods of its original construction in 1882. Today, visitors can explore the reopened main tomb, as well as huts and ancient artifacts dotted around the open-air grounds, for deeper insights into the Kingdom’s history and traditions." - Scott Campbell
