"Encore Family Karaoke, founded in 1999, was an integral part of the Korean community in Dallas. Jin Shin, a regular patron, took over the business after the original owner passed away. He made adjustments to cater to a wider audience while preserving its legacy. Encore Family Karaoke serves as a cultural space where people learn about Korean culture and remains a significant part of old Koreatown in the Garland neighborhood of Dallas."
