"I appreciated being on the only hotel located on Granville Island — the architecture is delightfully ambiguous (part remodeled Spanish colonial, part nod to the island’s industrial past) but it works, and the waterfront views and yachts moored outside make the setting special. All 82 rooms are unique after a renovation that moved away from a nautical theme toward a more refined, contemporary design; many rooms have rain-shower baths and all include complimentary morning newspapers, while the penthouse adds a dining room, fireplace, and an en suite spa bath." - Bianca Bujan
