"Whether you settle into a seat by the fireplace, or along the gleaming bar, you’ll feel like you’re in the center of Dublin when you're at No. 27. The historic Shelbourne Hotel in which it's located is often referred to as “Dublin’s living room,” and this bar and lounge—one of several eateries on site—is particularly suited to that moniker, thanks to its prime position at the front of the landmarked building. As such, it’s nearly always buzzing with locals and in-house guests (reservations are recommended), with regulars holding court (or propping up the bar) well into the night. The space itself is elegant—polished woods, chandelier-adorned ceilings, a roaring fired—but not at all stuffy. Come for a tricked out brunch, complete with a full Irish breakfast—both black and white pudding, included—and a juice bar to balance things out." - Sandra Ramani
