Heim BBQ’s Much-Anticipated Dallas Location Will Arrive This Week - Eater Dallas
"The long-awaited Dallas outpost of Heim Barbecue, one of Fort Worth’s most beloved purveyor of brisket and bacon burnt ends, will finally debut this week. Owner Travis Heim tells Eater that the restaurant is set to open its doors on October 22, with a grand opening shindig planned for October 28. As previously reported by Eater, Heim will take over the space formerly occupied by Mockingbird Diner at 3130 West Mockingbird Lane, joining the restaurant’s two Fort Worth outposts — one on Magnolia Avenue, and a second in the River District. Those who haven’t made the trek to Fort Worth for Heim Barbecue can expect barky brisket, snappy sausages, and of course, the famed bacon burnt ends. Breakfast tacos in the morning, plus sides like mac and cheese, beans, and more traditional barbecue accoutrements are also on offer. Don’t be surprised if there aren’t lines at the brand new Heim Barbecue when it debuts this week — they weren’t uncommon in Fort Worth, and Dallasites have been dying to get their hands on these smoky proteins for months." - Amy McCarthy
