"Cannabis-themed (but cannabis-free) franchise Cheba Hut ‘Toasted’ Subs wants to cure the munchies in Atlanta. The Colorado-based chain, with its motto ‘Great tasting food. A very specific counterculture,’ is eyeing properties in Midtown, Westside, Edgewood, Reynoldstown, Old Fourth Ward, and Summerhill to open three locations this fall, What Now Atlanta reports. Josh Burdick, an Atlanta entertainment lawyer, and Justin Beatty, beverage director for Fifth Group Restaurants, just inked a deal as Cheba Hut franchisees for the Atlanta restaurants. The first lease is apparently already signed for an undisclosed location along Edgewood Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward, according to the report. The menu for Cheba Hut includes a variety of meat and vegetarian subs like the Apollo 13 with grilled chicken, garlic butter, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, and spring mix topped with Greek dressing or the Power Plant with guacamole, hummus, and feta cheese loaded with vegetables and sprouts. In addition to subs, Cheba Hut also serves cocktails, a selection of salads, and, of course, munchies like pretzel nuggets, Rice Krispie treats, and brownies." - Beth McKibben
