"I learned that the largest of Henderson’s three Water Street casinos, shuttered since last March, was sold by Boyd Gaming to DeSimone Gaming last December and is being rebranded from the Eldorado to The Pass Casino; the owners filed paperwork for an exterior makeover and new signage that will introduce a modern, Art Deco design with a satin finish in blue, bronze, and white, restore the neon star over the front entrance, and add an LED display board above the front door. The proposed changes also remove signs that previously promoted “great food” and a “$7.77 Steak & shrimp” deal at Mary’s Diner, the property’s retro-inspired sole dining space, and DeSimone has not yet said whether The Pass will overhaul its restaurant options; an estimated opening date has not been announced." - Bradley Martin
