"A warm and cheerful gluten-free bakery in Lake Oswego, Kyra’s Bake Shop is opening its first Portland-proper location this August with an expanded menu and larger space at 625 NW 21st Avenue, Suite A. Owner and four-time Cupcake Wars winner Kyra Bussanich opened the shop in 2009 to serve home-cooked baked goods to people unable to eat gluten, and since then it has gained national attention for its gluten-free pastries, cakes, salads, sandwiches, and soups. The new Àlmr building location on NW 21st will expand the Lake Oswego offerings to include danishes and croissants, and Bussanich says she long dreamed of expanding and felt the Àlmr property was the perfect space." - Alex Frane
