Playa Bowls Expands to Northeastern University Campus Fall 2019 | Eater Boston

"A second Boston-area franchise scheduled to open this fall at 277 Huntington Ave., next to Starbucks on Northeastern University's campus. The new location will offer a menu similar to the BC shop—in-house-blended Brazilian acai bowls plus other bases (pitaya, banana, chia pudding, coconut, oatmeal, greens), customizable toppings, smoothies, and juices—and is part of a franchise network with locations in 11 states and Puerto Rico that often targets college neighborhoods. Housed in a former tanning salon, the large space will undergo extensive renovations to include a dining area and a chill zone with a fireplace and ample seating for students and patrons to relax." - Dana Hatic
