"Flour’s power to pull Patton Avenue pedestrians into the S&W Market made for a brisk breakfast business in the little corner of the Art Deco food hall, particularly for its big, buttery biscuits, touted as the best in town. Brothers Carter and Kyle James and partner, chef Gordon Gibbs, segued into lunch service with big, fat sandwiches on Gibbs’s famous focaccia, but they simply didn’t have space to do both, so they refocused on biscuits and breakfast. When another slot opened across the dining area, the trio jumped in, dividing to conquer. Flour Cafe bakes the biscuits early every morning; Flour Focaccia Sandwich Shop handles lunch, piling slabs of airy focaccia with roasted chicken salad, the Italian, and a veg option like broccolini and burrata or kabocha squash with spiced yogurt and cabbage." - Kay West
