"The casual Chicago-ish neighborhood bar is easygoing and friendly, the exact place you’d want to become a regular of. We ordered the tavern-style pie (Chicago’s other well-known pizza) with an iconic Chicago pickled condiment, giardiniera, and sausages. The pizza was incredible — so wonderfully cheesy, crunchy, nicely acidic, and inherently spicy. We also managed to snag one of the special sandwiches of the day: Italian cold cuts, that lovely giardiniera, mozzarella, etc., with the bar’s house-made bread and a side of nice fries. It was such a greatly constructed and filling sandwich. And then there was the mega-friendly service, plus the super nice bartender who let me add Campari to my Malört shot when I ordered a round of drinks." - Nadia Chaudhury
