"Kevin Wessel, the CEO of the Le Peep breakfast chain, and Mario Vega, the owner of Denver’s now-closed Mario’s Ocean Club seafood restaurant, are planning to open Lake House Kitchen and Tavern at 8026 West Bowles Avenue early next year. The restaurant will take over the building that most recently housed the Lucha Cantina Mexican restaurant. That space boasts a large patio on the reservoir, which Wessel and Vega told BusinessDen is one of its main attractions. Lake House’s menu will be focused on freshwater fish, including walleye, perch, and trout. BusinessDen reports the restaurant will also offer fried chicken and sandwiches as well as cocktails and beers, including beers like PBR in a can that are commonly associated with a day at the lake." - Paul Albani-Burgio
