"For a taste of cuisine from Beni and Santa Cruz in eastern Bolivia, head over to El Motacú, where you can check out traditional duck majadito, a rice dish reminiscent of a moist risotto, served with fried plantain and fried egg. Or go for slow-roasted keperi, a cut of beef from the breast of the cow marinated with salt, pepper, cumin, and lemon juice; it’s served with a dry majadito, almost akin to biryani, and boiled yuca. Open since 2000, El Motacú’s simple ambiance belies its complex, layered dishes." - Valeria Dorado
