"The green ceiling of this patio restaurant — set in the Mi Amor hotel — blends in with the green and blue of the Pacific, making it an ideal setting for brunch at the tranquil, northernmost end of Tulum’s hotel zone. Start with a half dozen oysters with hibiscus mignonette, raw hamachi surrounding a pool of sharp mandarin orange and chile morita leche de tigre, and a bright Acapulco colada inspired by the art deco era like the rest of the hotel. A selection of tostadas made with grilled octopus al pastor, cold smoked and cured sea bass in chaya aioli, and grilled skirt steak beautifully dressed with herbs make a lovely afternoon snack. Ask for a table in the shallow pool seating area to dine with your toes in the water." - Bill Esparza
