"A circa-1913, nine-story, 75,000-square-foot brick former cold-storage building is being converted into a large food hall and co-working hub. The project will retain and restore a prominent 125-foot-tall colorful mural by Katie Craig (the “Illuminated Mural”) and add proper lighting. The first two floors will house a 14,000-square-foot food hall featuring 14 food and beverage concepts—most locally owned—and a full bar, while the upper levels will be occupied by a coworking operator. The developer acquired the property in 2017, is spending roughly $16 million on renovation, has teamed with Inform Studio on the redesign, and expects to complete the work in late 2019." - Brenna Houck
