Peggy O’Neil’s in Dorchester Will Soon Be Blend | Eater Boston

"A popular Dorchester dive bar and dance club has petitioned and received approval from the Boston Licensing Board to change its name to Blend and is undergoing cosmetic updates both inside and out. Management says it’s not a full renovation but the space is being cleaned up, with a new bar top and a craft beer system being installed; the comfort-food menu (notably burgers and tips) will be retained while some new items are added. The venue intends to keep its pub vibe and monthly dance events. It is temporarily closed for the work, slated to reopen Friday, July 27, though it may close again for about a week in August to finish interior renovations." - Terrence Doyle
