"A new location at 838 Divisadero is open just a crack today: customers can sneak in for superlative bubble tea during limited soft-opening hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. today and tomorrow (Friday), then again next Wednesday through Friday. The shop is offering the full menu of teas during the soft opening, with customizable sweetness levels and made-from-scratch almond jelly and grass jelly, but co-founder Andrew Chau warns there’s no furniture yet and a grand opening is slated for two weeks from now. This Divisadero spot is the latest in a blossoming chain that has grown to include locations in New York and has expansion plans in Los Angeles; Chau and co-founder Bin Chen started the company here in SF six years ago, and their local locations—easily spotted by lines out front—include Hayes Valley (on Octavia), the Mission (on 19th), the Fillmore (on Fillmore), and Union Square (on Stockton)." - Caleb Pershan
