"Founder Olga Lee nearly doubted she could complete a groom’s cake request that called for a replica of the UT Tower — she was nine months pregnant and the wedding was just nine days before her induction date — but after a full week’s work she crafted an orange-and-white, tiramisu-flavored creation complete with a 30-inch tall tower, the Longhorn mascot, and a coffee Swiss buttercream, delivered and set up at the venue on time (her son was born four days later). Since moving into a new, public-facing location that now serves pastries and coffee, Lee reflects on her career: "I am very grateful," says Lee. "I’ve met so many wonderful friends along the way these past 16 years through making cakes in Austin." How to order: Fill out the online form three to six months before the event." - Erin Russell
