Cafe du Monde Has Entered the Highest Bid in the City Park Beignet Battle | Eater New Orleans
"Proposals unsealed today show that Cafe du Monde submitted the winning bid of $25,760 a month for City Park's beignet stand; an initial award to the company in June was nullified by a judge after Morning Call filed suit, and after City Park amended its specifications and reopened bidding in September Cafe du Monde outbid Cafe Beignet ($25,100) and Morning Call ($23,800), though the park CEO says attorneys must review all three bids before a final lease is awarded." - Clair Lorell
