"Opening Wednesday, October 16 on North Main Street in Alpharetta, this new restaurant, Monkey 68 Kitchen and Bar, is owned by Mali Hu and George Muh and led by chef David Yun; I was told it won't serve sushi and will instead focus on comfort food with Asian influences and Asian small plates and entrees. The menu should include appetizers and small bites like short rib Korean meatballs and oxtail dumplings, and entrees such as bulgogi in a tomato-gochujang bolognese sauce and chicken pappardelle with a shiso cream sauce. Once the restaurant acquires its liquor license, expect seasonal cocktails and "spirits free" drinks alongside beer, wine, and sake. To focus on this opening, the owners closed Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi in June after more than four years on Lenox Road in Buckhead. Hours are Monday–Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday–Saturday 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; address is 160 North Main Street, Alpharetta, and the website is monkey68atl.com." - Beth McKibben
