"Continuing its loyal attachment to Henderson and the southeast, I note that The Chicken Shack will open a fifth Las Vegas outpost in July, taking over a 1,769-square-foot retail store at the Lake Mead Gateway Plaza at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway. Local since 2005, the chain's menu includes wings, burgers, “hand-breaded fingers,” chicken sandwiches, the “Shack Salad,” and “homemade chili,” and features more than 20 free sauces such as “chipotle BBQ,” habanero honey, and the “damn hot.” All current locations are open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., closing earlier at 8 p.m. on Sunday." - Bradley Martin
