Shug’s Soda Fountain Expansion in West Seattle Hits Delays - Eater Seattle
"Since last fall, Pike Place Market’s retro Shug’s Soda Fountain and Ice Cream has been planning a smaller West Seattle shop appropriately called Shug’s Mini, with an eye on opening this spring or summer. But it looks like it may be a bit longer before it’s ready. Co-owner Colleen Wilkie told West Seattle Blog, “We are STILL waiting on the City of Seattle for permits.” When it does arrive, there will be fewer ice cream flavors, but customers can expect some of the most popular menu items (such as the Shugsicle with orange soda and vanilla ice cream) will make appearances." - Gabe Guarente
