Hank & Mitzi’s Italian Kitchen Will Replace Hank’s Pasta Bar in Old Town | Eater DC

"I'm reporting that, expected to reopen by spring 2020 after renovations, this reboot of Hank’s Pasta Bar will relaunch as Hank & Mitzi’s Italian Kitchen at 600 Montgomery Street with Will Artley installed as executive chef to oversee pizza production and shared plates. Artley — an alum of Evening Star Café and Pizzeria Orso who most recently cooked at Scotts in Penn Quarter, has D.C. experience cooking at the White House and Grist Mill Restaurant, and has competed on Chopped — will preview some dishes at Art League’s Art On Tap and could add his famed “BLT” gnocchito to Hank’s rotation. The spot will eventually sport an 80-seat rooftop patio, some hit dishes from Hank’s Pasta Bar will make a comeback, it’s named after Leeds’s parents, and it represents Leeds’s first hire of a chef from outside her group as well as the first location in her group to serve pizza." - Tierney Plumb
