"Chef Max Godo’s restaurant, Sushi Go, is a standard on Main Street. He is known for beautifully seasoned sushi rice along with select toro and hamachi. The salmon duo shows off the chef’s knife skills with Scottish salmon and New Zealand salmon plated side-by-side. The beverage offerings include an interesting sake menu and a wine list that feels farmer-driven. The Tuna, Tuna, Tuna roll is a local favorite, and a brothy little neck clams appetizer feels surprisingly nostalgic. At lunch, there are well-priced bento boxes and pork bone broth ramen that locals show up for. With a location across the street from the Downtown Hyatt, Sushi Go stays busy and is a favorite spot when former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is in town." - Stephanie Burnette
