"Wy’East is one of the old school spots in the Hood River area, planting grapes in the ’90s and producing its own wine starting in 2002. This is a family-run vineyard and it feels like it: Visitors sip out on the back deck with a view of the farm and alpacas, where winery dogs curl up next to tables and families play Bocce between pours. Try a tasting including Blue Chip pinot noir, made with grapes grown right next to the tasting room, along with semi-sweet grüner veltliner sourced from across the river in Underwood. Bring your own picnic or grab a weekend lunch from the on-site food truck, Wheels. During summer, don’t miss wandering the u-pick flower field to take home a fresh bouquet.
