Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles shutters on westside, relocating very soon to the Hughes Center | Eater Vegas

"An Arizona-born, celebrity-favored spot known for scratch-made soul-food classics has relocated to a 4,000-square-foot, light-filled corner at the Hughes Center on Flamingo Road (about one mile east of the Strip) after closing its original Rainbow Boulevard location. Owners founder Larry “Lolo” White and his wife Rasheeda reclaimed Las Vegas operations in 2017 following a rocky westside expansion that was briefly shuttered by the health department. The new location expanded seating in the main dining room, at the bar, and on the outdoor patio, installed a large Las Vegas–themed mural above an open-plan kitchen, and sits in a 14,160-square-foot building that will include a substantial ghost-kitchen operation. Awaiting final inspections and a pending opening, the lengthy menu is headlined by crispy, slightly spicy chicken and waffles and features all-day breakfast specials, shrimp and grits, catfish beignets, collard greens, fried green tomatoes, banana pudding, and jars of “dranks,” including homemade Kool-Aid on tap." - Bradley Martin
