Sam Ung, the Founder of Seattle’s Phnom Penh Noodle House, Has Died | Eater Seattle

"The beloved University District dive bar’s owners, who had been looking to sell, will be moving on and shutting the business down in June; the last day of service will be June 15, the day after the University of Washington commencement. The co-owners had no intention of taking the place on permanently when they bought the beleaguered bar in 2020. Co-owner Jen Gonyer wrote in an email, “Let the UW community have their celebration before we do our last call.”" - Harry Cheadle
