"Reopened in the former Cabbage Pie space on Carroll Street in Cabbagetown after a split with co-owners, I found Mouth of the South’s finalized opening menu features shared plates like nachos and three types of wings (including Korean fried), four tacos — notably the smokey oink with pulled pork, grilled pineapple, and hoisin barbecue — which can be made vegetarian on request and ordered with either a flour or corn, hard or soft shell. The meatless options continue with sandwiches such as a vegan BLT made with eggplant bacon and fried green tomatoes, and there’s a brisket and Sriracha mayo Philly French dip for a hot take on the cheesesteak. The restaurant recently acquired its liquor license, has been stocking up on beer (including Iron Maiden’s Trooper collaboration with Robinsons Brewery), and is located at 186 Carroll Street SE, Atlanta." - Beth McKibben
