"Opened in the space formerly occupied by New Saigon Sandwich on Washington Street in Chinatown and operated by longtime restaurateur Cuong Tran, this new bánh mì shop leans into traditional, meat-forward fillings despite the owner’s background running vegan eateries. The menu includes a range of pork items—pork bologna, pork skin, and meatballs among them—and Boston Globe critic Devra First recommends the banh mi dac biet, which comes topped with pâté, cold cuts, jalapeños, cilantro, cucumber, and pickled vegetables. Occupying a site that was much beloved before its previous tenant closed in June 2020, the shop adds to Boston’s growing bánh mì scene." - Terrence Doyle
