"A modern Eastern Mediterranean restaurant in Boston’s Financial District (126 State St., the Cunard Building) will begin casual, takeout-friendly breakfast and lunch service on Tuesday, October 13, with more upscale dinner service starting October 26. Originally conceived as a Turkish-focused project by chef Ozcan Ozan of the now-closed Sultan’s Kitchen, the concept broadened to cover a wider Eastern Mediterranean repertoire; Claudio Cavalleri (Patrizia’s Italy, Alchemy Bistro) leads the kitchen with Ozan as a close collaborator, and Derek Alten (Tavern in the Square, Night Shift Brewing) is the general manager. The menu ranges from assorted pastries, spanakopita, and Israeli bagels with labneh for breakfast to soups, salads, kebab wraps, and an ancient-grain “pitza” (Italian pizza meets Turkish pide) at lunch, plus meze and entrees such as braised lamb shank and halibut in saffron broth for dinner. Wine, beer, and cocktails are available; indoor dining and takeout will be offered for all meals. Initial hours are breakfast 8–11 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m. six days a week, with dinner 4–8 p.m. six days a week once it begins; the restaurant will be closed Sundays." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
