La Fonda Closes Longtime Howell Mill Road Restaurant Ahead of a Relocation to East Lake in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"After nearly 13 years on Howell Mill Road, La Fonda Latina's Howell Mill location has permanently closed; I learned it will relocate to East Lake this spring, taking over the former Lake and Oak BBQ space at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Hosea Williams Drive. Co-owner Clay Harper told What Now Atlanta they sold the Howell Mill property because they could no longer "hold off the wave of progress" as redevelopment transforms the corridor, and the old building now stands in the large shadow of the adjacent Star Metals development and will eventually become an apartment tower called Stella at Star Metals as part of a new phase." - Beth McKibben
