"I found Ada’s Restaurant and Bar in Phinney Ridge (5910 Phinney Ave. N) temporarily closed with a typed front-door sign from the owner and management apologizing for unspecified “technical difficulties” and saying they hope to solve the problems and reopen as soon as possible. The restaurant, which opened in fall 2016 with a mix of American and Mediterranean influences, has served dishes such as shrimp scampi, salmon cakes, Greek salads, flatbreads, and scallops prepared multiple ways. Activity on its social accounts has been sparse (last Instagram post March 8, 2017) and the last Yelp action was April 9, when a five-star review praised the new brunch menu—“Service was friendly and awesome,” noted the roasted potatoes were “awesome and crispy” and recommended the homemade biscuit over toast. A Yelp review from last November suggested the kitchen was finding its sweet spot with a new, more Italian-focused dinner menu (chicken or eggplant parm, duck risotto) but worried the restaurant had been slow to find patrons; for now it’s unclear whether the closure is temporary, as the sign indicates." - Adam H.
