"I'm looking forward to Autumn, Chef Brian Clevenger's new Phinney Ridge restaurant at 6727 Greenwood Avenue N — his sixth in the city (not including the seafood market East Anchor) — which he plans to open in spring, contradictory seasonal name be damned. Chef Nick Chiaro, who was a sous chef at Canlis and spent time at award-winning restaurants in San Francisco and New York, will run the kitchen. The menu will spotlight Clevenger's handmade pastas, including garganelli with English peas, ramps, morels, and mint, and cavatelli with rabbit, anchovy, pine nut, and marjoram; entrees will emphasize three key ingredients, such as duck breast with sunchoke, apples and bee's wax, and lamb shoulder with olive, saffron, and flatbread. Dining will be available a la carte or via a tasting menu (about $55 per person), and cocktails will highlight spirits from local distilleries alongside a selection of PNW beer and wine and more global choices. Autumn will seat roughly 39 guests at full capacity, with patio seating and takeout and delivery options, though whether it can fill the room will depend on the timing of Washington's COVID-related reopening phase." - Gabe Guarente
