"I was saddened to learn that the beloved Vietnamese restaurant Saigon House has closed permanently; it was best known for its H-Town Bang Viet-Cajun crawfish drenched in cayenne pepper, garlic, butter, and cilantro. The closure was announced on Saigon House’s Facebook page on Wednesday, May 12, with a message saying the restaurant had decided not to resign its lease at 3645 FM 1960. The business started in Midtown in 2015, where Nguyen developed a loyal following for his Vietnamese seafood and pho served with a Houston flair; he later closed the Midtown location at 3101 Main and opened the FM 1960 restaurant in May 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. With limited seating during the pandemic, Nguyen launched a food truck in August to bring Saigon House back to Central Houston and also sold crawfish through a private Facebook group." - Brittanie Shey
