"After a San Diego County Superior Court judge ruled that two local strip clubs could remain open despite the regional stay-at-home order, Cheetah’s was permitted to continue operating under Judge Joel Wohlfeil’s injunction, which he wrote extends to “San Diego County businesses with restaurant service.” Cheetah’s had been sent a cease-and-desist letter from California Attorney General Xavier Becerra for continuing to operate after the county-wide order took effect in early December. The county later suspended enforcement activities against restaurants and live entertainment establishments while it and the state analyzed the scope of the ruling and sought clarity, and the judge confirmed on 12/17 that restaurants were encompassed by the order; however, the 4th District Court of Appeal issued a stay on 12/18, meaning any restaurants that had restarted on-site dining had to shut down again." - Candice Woo
