New Restaurant 5216 Table & Tap Replacing Metairie’s Storied Swamp Room | Eater New Orleans

"At 5216 Veterans Boulevard, 5216 Table & Tap will occupy a freshly renovated space where the owners aim to bring craft drinks, pub games, and “classed-up bar food” to Metairie. I was told owner Ron Carazo recruited New Orleans bar veteran Dave Jackson — who has 20 years in the city’s bar and brewery scene and most recently worked as a bar manager at Besh restaurant Luke in the CBD — to help lead the project, which is Carazo’s first foray into the restaurant industry. They’re aiming for “craft cocktails in a sports bar setting”: a huge bar that seats 42 of the spot’s 120 seats, four wines on tap, and eight craft beers, plus a menu consulted on by a “local celebrity chef” that will carry her name.
