"Chef Josh Walker teamed with barista Chloe King to create a picturesque daytime meeting spot focused on brewing excellent Counter Culture–sourced coffee rather than flashy espresso hardware. Inspired by tea shops visited across Asia, the program emphasizes a rotating selection of Counter Culture blends for brewed coffee, cold brew, and inventive “coffee cocktails” intended for patrons who don’t want a black cup; one featured drink, the First Kiss, pairs jasmine tea with house-made nonalcoholic ginger beer and is topped with floating cold brew concentrate. King, a seven-year industry veteran, is also experimenting with snack pairings—recent offerings included a katsu “sando” (a cold fried chicken sandwich on homemade milk bread), seasonal pies, and assorted pastries.
