"I visited the Drake-approved Italian chain North Italia at 900 S. Miami Avenue, Suite 111 in Brickell after it officially debuted in the former Oceanaire space; it's the brand's 16th U.S. location and its first in Florida. Led by general manager Juan Carlos Marchan and executive chef Ryan Smith, the nearly 8,600-square-foot restaurant features an exhibition kitchen that overlooks the dining room and bar and seats up to 316 guests between indoor and patio areas. It serves traditional—if somewhat predictable—Italian fare including antipasti, salads, pastas, pizzas, and entrées, and is best known for a Brickell-appropriate after-work scene highlighted by a bottle & board special (choice of pizza, bruschetta, or chef’s board with a bottle of wine for $25) available 3–6 p.m. Monday–Thursday. The restaurant is open Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday until midnight, with brunch Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; call 786-475-9100 for details." - Olee Fowler
