"Since 2014 Shut Em Down has been serving the city its beloved fried chicken along with all of the Southern comfort favorites. The breading on each piece of chicken is light while still maintaining a nice crunch. After biting through the crust, the juicy chicken is bursting with flavor. Dinners here are a deal at just $10.49 for fried chicken, two sides, and a big piece of cornbread. Locals also say this is some of the best banana pudding in town, so be sure to get some, even if it’s to-go." - Megan duBois

Bold Birds Nashville Hot Chicken

Restaurant · Murray Hill

Bold Birds is bringin' the heat to Murray Hill, one piece of delicious chicken at a time. Nashville transplants Hughes Brown and his family are no strangers to the restaurant business and they're thrilled to bring a taste of their hometown to the River City. The signature spicy dish dates back to the 1930s, and was originally created by a scorned lover to punish her mate for his romantic misdeeds. They fell in love with it back home and were determined to bring it with them when they moved to Jacksonville. With heat levels ranging from Classic to Hotter Than a Mother Clucker, we're sure to have something for everyone. Our fast-casual environment is the perfect place for a family gathering, with just enough Southern hospitality mixed on in.
