"Ever since it opened in 2022 inside a former U.S. Bank outpost, this small gourmet corn dog shop in Dinkytown has been doing brisk business, with long (but fast-moving!) queues extending down the block, particularly during lunch. With a batter that leans heavily on rice flour and an extra coating of panko before they hit the fryer, these hot dogs are lighter — and, as the name promises — crunchier than traditional American-style corn dogs. For the center of the dog, diners can also choose to go with a traditional beef frank, a long tubular rice cake, or all cheese with mozzarella as the house favorite." - Julie Yu
