Cheba Hut opens soon near UNLV | Eater Vegas

"Revealed last June and originally planned to open by the end of 2018, the toasted sub sandwich chain Cheba Hut set a soft preview opening for 3/22/19 at a 3,000-square-foot casual space that will replace The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Runnin’ Rebel Plaza across Maryland Parkway from UNLV; I learned the interior will feature a full bar and customers can use the existing outdoor patio. Having arrived in Las Vegas in June 2017 (first at the westside Sahara and Rainbow Center retail hub) and expanded a year later near Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road, this eastside outpost will be its largest local restaurant. Hours for the new location are yet to be announced, though local Cheba Hut restaurants have been serving daily from 10 a.m. to midnight. The planned menu includes four-, seven- and 12-inch "blunt" size toasted sandwiches, salads, "Treats," "Cottonmouth Cures," and munchies such as a hummus platter, French onion soup, and Rice Krispie bars." - Bradley Martin
