"Marietta Proper is a swanky art-deco style wine bar and cafe, most recently a James Beard Award semifinalist for their new category of Best New Bar. The menu includes whiskeys, small-producer wines (especially a great selection of sparkling wines), cocktails, coffee, and tea, along with a food menu of sandwiches, pastries, and brunch plates. The bar is run by chef and sommelier Jordan Traylor, chef William Adamec of Dogwood Catering, and couple Kacey and Hillery Cecil (who also own event space, the Foxglove)." - Beth McKibben
