"As one of the two largest resort companies on the Las Vegas Strip, this employer reached a new agreement with the Culinary and Bartenders unions to extend pandemic protections to its unionized workforce. The deal guarantees continued no-monthly-premium, full-family health care through the Culinary Health Fund for furloughed workers through March 1, 2021; allows employees laid off because of COVID-19 to be recalled for up to two years to their same jobs with full seniority or to take temporary assignments in other roles if needed; provides 10 paid days off when quarantine is initiated by public health authorities or the employer; suspends attendance points and discipline for COVID-related absences; permits requests for up to six weeks of unpaid leave; and calls for manager training on responding to positive COVID-19 tests. Union leaders framed the agreement as protecting workers and their families during the economic recovery." - Susan Stapleton
