"At the Highland location I observed the UberEats app beep to alert manager Jose Chavez when a robot was ready to pick up; a staffer still must run the food out to the sidewalk, but the robot helps cut down on cars pulling in and out of the restaurant’s small parking lot. Chavez said only a small number of their UberEats or Postmates orders are serviced by delivery robots (most remain with human drivers), the commission to UberEats stays the same whether a human or bot delivers, and so far the robotic service has made no immediately appreciable difference to sales or workflow." - Christian Letourneau
