"Opening today at 2200 Magazine Street in the Garden District, I note Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen is the third location of the legendary seafood restaurant that got its start in Bucktown over five decades ago. It's well-known and loved for seafood offerings such as crawfish étouffée, crabmeat au gratin, po-boys, and fried appetizers; the new Garden District menu is similar to the others but adds a raw oyster bar and a chargrilled oyster station. The first Deanie’s opened in Metarie in the early ’60s, and a second location opened at Iberville and Dauphine Streets in the French Quarter in 2002." - Alison Baitz
