"A new venture from Venezuelan couple Mari and Xavier Godoy who left corporate careers to open a neighborhood restaurant named for a flowering plant from Mari’s family ranch. Led in the kitchen by Tony Castillo, formerly executive chef at Tiny Boxwoods, the spot plans a globally influenced menu that emphasizes minimally processed ingredients sourced from local Texas farms and abroad. Early menus and social posts indicate traditional Venezuelan arepas and house-made croissants produced in an on-site “dough lab,” with fillings such as fruit and Nutella. Located in the Heights at 927 Studewood Street, Suite 100, the restaurant opens for breakfast on Thursday, December 13 and for dinner on Tuesday, December 18; initial hours are breakfast Tue–Fri 7:00–11:00 a.m. and Sat–Sun 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., dinner Tue–Sat 5:00–10:00 p.m., with extended breakfast, lunch and dinner hours planned in the first quarter of next year." - Alaena Hostetter
